How to Stop Chasing Clients for Assets

A simple system for reducing follow-up messages when clients owe your agency files, copy, approvals, credentials, or project details.

Stop chasing client assets

Make the request visible

Clients forget what they owe when the request is buried in a kickoff email. Put the full list somewhere they can return to, with clear completion status.

Reduce decisions

Every vague request becomes a decision the client has to make. “Send your brand assets” is vague. “Upload your primary logo as SVG, AI, or EPS” is much easier to complete.

Set review rules

Tell clients what counts as done. If a file is blurry, incomplete, or in the wrong format, reject it with a clear note and ask for the replacement in the same place.

Automate reminders carefully

Good reminders are specific. They say what is missing and why it matters. Bad reminders sound like nagging because they repeat the same generic message without context.

Kicklayer helps by tying reminders to actual missing items, not just a calendar.
